Signal/
Dataset is rooted in low frequency culture. In the physicality of sound that moves beyond speakers and into space, into people. It draws from the discipline of writing tunes, the intent behind every frequency, and the environments built to carry that energy. From late nights in the studio to the effort behind every event, it reflects a shared commitment to a sound that is felt as much as it is heard.
System/
Founded in 2010 by Miguel Vega, Dataset was created to translate these ideas into a tangible form. A system built to support artists, connect communities, and document a culture that exists across borders but remains tightly aligned through sound. The project operates at the intersection of music and design, where structure, function, and identity are shaped by the same principles that define sound system environments.
Output/
Each output is approached as part of a larger system. Garments function as artifacts within a broader network, informed by signal flow, acoustic research, and technical precision. Dataset exists to reinforce the culture it represents, providing a platform for collaboration and a framework that can move across scenes while remaining grounded in its origins.
