Frequently Asked Questions

Dataset, Katakana Flag

Q. How can get stickers/ buttons?
A.
All of our orders ship with several extras, for as long as we have them at no extra cost, we make new stickers & buttons every few months and as soon as they are ready we start including them with our orders.

Q. I'm a Producer/ DJ, can you sponsor me?
A. At the moment we are only sponsoring our artist team. While we appreciate the enthusiasm and interest, we are a small brand and we simply can't afford to sponsor all the artists that we would like and at the same time stay in business.

Q. How can I be featured on your Exclusive Mix Series?
A. At this point, we don't really have a "system" other than asking people we've seen or heard DJing and thought it was a good fit with our brand, soon we will start allowing people to submit mixes through our site, stay tuned!

Q. I'm a Model, can you send me product for a photo shoot?
A. While we appreciate modeling, we don't really feel it's in tune with our brand. Every single person featured wearing our gear, it's through their music talent and/or involvement in our community, DJs, Producers, Promoters, Soundboys, Movement supporters, etc.

Q. The product I want is sold out in my size, would you be restocking soon?
A. Probably not, we usually try to keep our runs small to keep it unique, so next time you go to a bass music show, you don't have to run into 6 other people wearing the same clothes!

Q. Why is the "Classic Logo (VIP Black)" T-shirt not for sale?
A. It's not for sale because it's inspired by those hard-to-get Dubplates, VIP Tracks & heavily guarded remixes, this is the only shirt we produce, that is not for sale. We wanted to create something special for the Dataset team, the artists we admire and those who have been showing support for the Dataset brand.

Q. How can I buy some of your Japan edition products?
A. We like to offer some exclusives to our Japan family and unless you are there, it might be tricky. But hey, next time you visit Tokyo, make sure you go to a Kaizan Records show and ask around, maybe you'll get lucky!

Q. Are your products made in the U.S.?
A. For the most part yes, certain elements might be produced in asia, but we go out of our way to keep the majority of our production process locally, so even when some elements are made abroad, we still print and assemble right here in California.
